Ending at a stage
Karolina, 174 cm, finishes near the theatre on St Martin's Lane, where a performance and the supper afterwards make a single unbroken evening. Arrange that a few days out. Violetta, 178 cm and the tallest name here, ends in the comedy cellar off Piccadilly Circus and then at a table where the kitchen is still awake. Stacy, 176 cm, closes at the late bill in the Dean Street basement, near enough the stage to be part of the material, and she is glad to hear from you the same evening.
Ending at a table with candles on it
Samanta, 174 cm, ends at the candlelit baroque programmes near Trafalgar Square, arriving early enough to claim the pew she wants and leaving with the violin still going in her head. Heels, stairs and wet pavement
Most of the nine are glad of their height and dress accordingly. If the night takes in basement stairs, cobbles or a walk across Soho in the rain, one line about it is enough and nothing more is said. None of that touches the figure: an hour is £250, a four hour dinner date £900.
Holding a formal evening
Anything with a seating plan, a guest list or colleagues around the table is held with half the fee sent in advance, the travel portion of that half non refundable, because it keeps a longer stretch of her diary clear than a hotel evening does.
