The easy version of an evening, warm and unhurried

The phrase gets used loosely across this industry, so here is what it means at this door and nothing more. It is an evening with the formality taken out of it. She arrives as somebody pleased to see you rather than somebody arriving for an appointment, the conversation is real, and nobody performs a version of themselves for two hours.

The figure is the ordinary one, £250 for an hour and £500 for two, and the card does not carry a premium for warmth. What changes is the pace rather than the price. Most guests who ask for this by name end up booking two hours or more, because the whole point of it is not being watched by a clock.

Ladies the host suggests most often for this kind of evening. Any name on the list can be asked for.

What it is, said plainly

Conversation that goes somewhere. Being asked questions and actually listened to. Somebody who takes her coat off and sits down rather than standing in the middle of the room waiting for instruction. Walking to a bar together like two people who arranged to meet. If that sounds unremarkable, that is rather the point, and it is markedly harder to find than the market pretends. What it is not is a different category of service, because fees at this house are for time and companionship only across all ten occasions.

Why two hours is the right length

An hour works, but an hour has a shape to it, and both of you can feel the end of it approaching from about forty minutes in. Two hours at £500 is where the evening stops behaving like a booking. Three hours at £700 with a drink somewhere first is better still. The host will say this openly when you write, not to sell you a longer booking but because the shorter ones are where guests most often come away feeling slightly rushed.

An evening without a plan

Plenty of these bookings never leave the room, and plenty never stay in it. Soho is unusually good for the unplanned version, since stepping out of almost any door in Carnaby or the lanes east of it puts you within three minutes of a bar worth sitting in. Bar Termini does a small, serious negroni in a room the size of a corridor. The French House on Dean Street is a piece of Soho history that still refuses to serve pints. Neither needs booking, both suit an evening that has not been scheduled.

What the host tells her before she leaves

Almost nothing, deliberately. Your first name, where you are, how long, and whatever you chose to mention about the evening you have in mind. The house does not brief companions with notes about guests, and it does not keep files of preferences. If there is something you would like her to know, tell the host and it will be passed on once and then forgotten. Discretion works in both directions here, which is the whole basis of the arrangement.

Names regulars ask for by name

Molly lives in the postcode, is twenty four, and has the least ceremonial manner on the list. Lea is petite at 161 cm with wavy auburn hair and hazel eyes, and she is warm without being loud about it. Rosa has curly chestnut hair and asks better questions than most people you will meet this month. Laura is green eyed and easy going. Tina at 158 cm is quick, funny and completely unpretentious. Several of them also sit in the petite group.

Booking it without overthinking it

Write with a name or without one, say roughly what the evening looks like, and let the host do the rest. A quarter of the fee by bank transfer holds it, your full name and room number confirm it, and the balance is cash or transfer as you prefer. The booking page has the sequence written out. There is no form to fill in, no membership to buy and no account to open, here or anywhere else on this site.

Girlfriend experience, asked at the door

Short, plain answers. Anything else, the host takes by message at any hour.

No. It sits on the same card as everything else, from £250 an hour. Any house charging a premium for the word is charging you for something it should be providing as standard.

Of course, and in Soho that is often the better evening. Tell the host when you book so that she dresses for a bar rather than a hotel room, and pick the length accordingly.

Then say so to the host afterwards and she will suggest somebody else next time. Temperament is the part the house pays most attention to when proposing a name, and it does not always land first time.

Not at all. Most of these bookings are first meetings. If you would rather start shorter and see how it feels, an hour at £250 is a perfectly sensible way to begin.
