Tiffany notices the details: the shape of a coupe, the angle of a lampshade, whether the ice in your glass is the good kind. She is 169 cm with a petite frame, chocolate brown hair falling long and glossy and brown eyes that catch everything. Her wardrobe is boho, scattered with sparkle: a sequinned top with soft wide trousers, layered gold necklaces, a woven bag. In her mid twenties, she is graceful in movement and playful in spirit.

Detail is her delight rather than her burden. Tiffany takes street photographs of doorways, reflections and passing strangers, and her eye for composition makes her an excellent guide to the city. Champagne is her celebration drink, and she can tell a small grower's bottle from a famous house at the first sip. She has a soft spot for design hotels, the more thoughtfully furnished the better. Her English is bright and playful, and she has an irresistible habit of turning small moments into occasions.

Living in Soho, she likes to begin at Ham Yard Hotel, tucked into its own tree-lined courtyard a moment from Piccadilly Circus, with a bar full of colour and texture. She orders two glasses of champagne, photographs the courtyard in the evening light, and points out the details of the room you would have walked straight past. Later, a turn through the lanes of Soho with her camera, then back to your hotel, where she rates the interior with great seriousness.

Soho is her own neighbourhood, so every Soho hotel is close, and midweek evenings are the most open. Tell booking where you are staying and she will be at the door promptly, champagne recommendations already in mind.

04 · The evening

An evening with Tiffany

Tiffany's ideal booking is a midweek evening that feels like a celebration. She arrives in sequins at half past seven, notices your cufflinks before you have said hello, and suggests a drink in a courtyard she loves. The first glass of champagne is for a toast, and she chooses what you are toasting.

Camera in hand, she leads a slow walk through Soho, stopping to capture a reflection in a puddle or the glow of a restaurant window. She shows you each image, explains the composition and asks your opinion. At your hotel she inspects the lighting, the art and the chair by the window, gives the room a playful score, and settles in with the last of the champagne and her full, charming attention.

// In her words

The lamps. Good lighting says someone cared. Then the view, then the minibar, very much in that order.

Ask for something from a small grower. It tastes like a secret the big houses have not heard yet, and bartenders love being asked.

Of course. I will show you the city the way I see it, and you can tell me which doorway you would happily live behind.
